How to Make Your Own Lip Balm?  Lip Balm is one thing that I was thinking to make on my own since long, because I simply cannot go without lip gloss, lip balms, lip shimmering gels because no matter where I go I always put my favorite Kajal and a TINTED COLORED LIP BALM for a simple yet perfect everyday look.

The idea of this homemade colored lip balm came to me when I was tired of buying expensive branded lip balms and glosses but never got the satisfactory shade, texture and the feel I always wanted, so I thought of  making my own with custom colors, since it was super cheap, super easy and super simple  to make and guess what II ended up making 3 tinted colored lip balms and glosses in my favorite shades.

Homemade Colored Lip Balm With Vaseline

Before starting with the method of making your own homemade lip balm let me tell you the kind of lips and shade I have. I have somewhat dry lips not very dry but little dry from between with little pigmentation on the outer corner of my lips and for this reason I sometimes use lip liners to even out my lips specially if I’m going to apply any light or peach shade lipsticks and glosses.

If you too face similar problem like mine, you can apply any natural shade lip liner or concealer to conceal your lips. While applying any lipstick, go for 1-2 shades darker in lip liner, the color of lipstick you are about to apply.

These are just general tips and you don’t need to use lip liners before applying this homemade lip balm. It’s only if you have severe pigmentation with discoloration all over your lips, then you should try using a lip liner prior to gloss or balm, since then any lip product won’t come out that beautifully as it should.

Let’s start with the fun part of making own colored lip gloss.

METHOD/PROCEDURE

Its super easy to make your own DIY Homemade Lip Balm for Soft Kissable Lips. Its quick, easy yet looks so smooth on your lips, the look which even the high ended branded lip gloss can’t give at times. Without wasting any time, let me quickly tell you the steps to make your own lip balm.

Homemade Tinted Lip Balm Ingredients

Pour all the ingredients Vaseline, Coconut/ Almond/Olive Oil, Vitamin E Capsules, essence etc (except the crayon stick), in a double boiler. You can even use a microwave for this but I preferred doing on stove to be on the safer side.

Keep stirring the mixture for about 20-30 seconds till everything dissolves and mixes up to a liquid consistency. Add in the half piece of desired color crayon stick to it and keep mixing. Within just few seconds, 20 or so you will see the stick has got dissolved in the mixture giving the pigmented color to the liquid. Now keep stirring it for 10 seconds more and you are done.

You can add more color stick depending on the shade you want.Once you feel you have got the desired shade, switch off the gas.
You can even do the spoon trick, of using a spoon full of the mixture and leaving in freezer for 5 minutes to get an idea of exact shade and add color as required.

Immediately after switching the gas, pour the mixture into empty lip balm jar, close it and put it in the freezer for 20-30 minutes. I normally leave it overnight in summers. That’s it you are done.
